Weekly Blog (April 17 - April 23)
This weekend’s Premier League fixtures saw another raid from Crystal Palace and solid wins for Manchester United, Bournemouth, Hull and Swansea City.
Bournemouth thumped s Middlesborough 4 nil at home, as Gaston Ramirez was sent off.
Hull defeated Watford at the KCOM Stadium thanks to goals from Lazar Markovic and an absolute stunner from Clucas.
Swansea secured a vital three points at the Liberty stadium as they beat Stoke two nil. Stoke spurned their chances as Arnautovic skied a penalty and the Swans punished them when Llorente scored the opening goal in the 10th minute and Tom Carroll’s deflected shot looped into the top corner to give Swansea a two nil lead.
Burnley faced Manchester United at home and were dominated by the Red Devils as Anthony Martial finished off a brilliant counter attack, that he started himself, and Wayne Rooney scored the second of United’s two nil win.
Crystal Palace wrapped up the weekend in stunning fashion as they defeated Liverpool at Anfield by two goals to one. Coutinho struck a brilliant free kick in the first half, but Benteke was back to haunt the manager that let him go; Jurgen Klopp. The Belgian striker got on the end of a brilliant cross from Yohan Cabaye to equalize and then scored a diving header in the second half to give Palace the lead and secure three points for the Eagles.
