This past weekend saw some interesting fixtures as the Premier League season is starting to wind down.
The biggest surprise of the weekend saw Chelsea stifle at home to Crystal Palace by a scoreline of 1-2. The league leaders opened the scoring early on through Fabregas, but Palace came right back and Wilfried Zaha stunned Courtois with an adroit turn and low driven shot into the bottom corner. Palace continued their momentum in the first half and grabbed the lead just two minutes later when a brilliant counter attack was finished off by Benteke; who was the coolest man in West London, as he stopped the ball and flicked over his compatriot Courtois. Palace would hold on for an unlikely three points.
The Merseyside derby finished 3-1 to Liverpool at Anfield; with Mane, Coutinho and Origi scoring for the Reds.
Tottenham grabbed a 2 nil win at Turf Moor against Burnley, Leicester City defeated Stoke thanks two brilliant strikes courtesy of Ndidi and Vardy, Hull notched an impressive 2-1 home victory over West Ham United, and Manchester United were thwarted at home by a stubborn West Bromwich Albion defense, despite many chances created by United.
